Adrienne Edwards, DVM
Dr. Adrienne Edwards has 36 years of experience in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Edwards earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Tuskegee University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1984, and her Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology from Howard University four years prior. Ever since, she has practiced veterinary medicine in the DC Metro area.
Although she has owned everything from toucans to anglo-trakheners, her primary focus has always been on providing compassionate care for dogs and cats, and maintaining harmony in your household through appropriate veterinary care.

PETSFirst Total Learning & Care Veterinary Center creates and strengthens the human-animal bond by improving the quality of life of both owner and pet through their daily interactions. PETSFirst TLC is especially dedicated to building long-term client relationships through quality veterinary care and education, as well as behavioral counseling that is custom tailored for the specific needs of each family.
Our Philosophy
Dr. Edwards has a special interest in the Total Care Concept. This holistic concept of treating the whole environment that affects a pet’s health and well-being has been her mantra, and the basis for the PETSFirst TLC Veterinary Center. From prenatal care, to nutrition, breed selection, integration into the family, and of course, veterinary care, so many aspects of a pet's life can impact his or her well-being. ALL impact his or her health and ability to become a well-adjusted and revered four-legged member of the family. Dr. Edwards continually seeks to be an advocate for pets who have no voice, but speak volumes through their unique manifestation of vibrant health—or symptoms of disease.
